Dr. Nicolas Galazis graduated from the University of Nottingham Medical School in 2012. He subsequently trained in prestigious London hospitals, including St Mary’s and Hammersmith. In 2019, he earned Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG), followed by his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2022, from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

Specializing in high-risk obstetrics, gynaecological ultrasound, and advanced surgical techniques for benign and malignant diseases, Dr. Galazis also completed a Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine at the Wolfson Fertility Centre, gaining expertise in assisted conception, particularly IVF.

An accomplished academic, Dr. Galazis has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and contributed to several book chapters. He is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences, and has featured in television interviews on endometriosis and fertility.

After serving as a Consultant Gynaecologist at St Mary’s Hospital in London, Dr. Galazis returned to Cyprus in 2024, where he now leads the Gynaecological Department at Nicosia Polyclinic Private Hospital. He established the Cyprus Centre for Endometriosis and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, providing comprehensive care to patients with endometriosis.

In his spare time, Dr. Galazis enjoys family life, socializing, fitness, and studying history and philosophy.

Violetta Nicolaidou

BSc, MSc

Registered Midwife

Violetta Nicolaidou is a registered midwife after graduating from the School of Health and Welfare Sciences, Department of Midwifery, at the University of West Attica (Athens). She also holds a Masters degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in Pregnancy Pathology and High Risk Obstetrics. Additionally, she is a certified Infant Massage Instructor.

As part of her Midwifery degree internship, she worked in the delivery room, operating rooms, and the postpartum and labour wards of the University General Hospital of Patras, Rio (P.G.N.P.) located in Patras. She then worked as a Surgical Midwife at the private REA clinic in Athens (REA Maternity Gynecological Clinic), and after returning to Cyprus, she worked as a Surgical Midwife at the private Nicosia Polyclinic in Nicosia.

Violetta is characterised by her kind and pleasant personality. She has extensive knowledge of her field, which she loves, and is willing to provide the necessary support to new parents and assist them with any concerns they may have.

Elena Theodoridou

Elena holds a BSc in Business Administration. She is dedicated and resourceful patient coordinator with proficiency in Russian, Greek and English. Her background in Business Administration enhances her ability to manage office operations efficiently. She is committed, provides excellent support and ensures smooth communication and coordination for our patients.

Anastasia Uvarova

Certified & Registered Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist Specialist

Anastasia Uvarova is a highly experienced pelvic floor physiotherapist with over 10 years of expertise in women’s health. She graduated from the University of Bradford and has undergone specialized training in pelvic floor health with the Pelvic, Obstetric, and Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP) UK. Anastasija is also a certified Clinical Pilates instructor, focusing on pregnancy and postnatal care.

Anastasia specializes in post-pregnancy recovery, including Caesarean section scar management, pelvic pain associated with chronic conditions, vaginismus, endometriosis pain, and menopause. She takes a holistic approach to patient care, integrating movement, breathing techniques, self-management, manual therapy, and lifestyle adjustments to support her patients' recovery and well-being.

Dr Skevi Riga

Paediatrician & Neonatologist

Dr. Stylianou-Riga graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1997, having received a scholarship from the State Scholarship Foundation. She completed her Paediatric specialization in 2005, following four years of clinical training at the First Pediatric Clinic of "Agia Sofia" Children's Hospital. She obtained her qualification after successfully passing written and oral examinations at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Subsequently, she specialised in Neonatology and Neonatal Intensive Care between 2006 and 2008 at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of "Agia Sofia" Children's Hospital. After passing both oral and written exams, she was awarded the official title of Neonatologist and Intensive Care Specialist.

From November 2009 until October 2018, Dr. Stylianou-Riga worked as a Paediatrician and Neonatologist at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Archbishop Makarios III Hospital. Since November 2018, she has been practicing privately, with a particular focus on attending high-risk deliveries as a Neonatologist. Alongside her clinical work, she is actively involved in medical research, collaborating with the Medical School of the University of Cyprus and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Constantinos Pavlides

Constantinos Pavlides is a Senior Clinical Embryologist and Lab Director at Pedieos IVF Center, with more than 18 years of experience in the field of Assisted Reproduction. He studied in Greece and received his BSc Degree in Biology from the University of Crete in 2003. He further continued his studies in embryology and achieved the MSc from Nottingham University, UK (Master of Medical Science in Assisted Reproduction Technology). He was also certified as a Senior Embryologist by ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) in 2023.

Throughout his career, he has developed a passion for exploring cutting-edge techniques and innovations that push the boundaries of fertility science. His primary areas of interest include:

Oocyte vitrification: He is deeply committed to advancing egg freezing techniques, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients seeking fertility preservation. His knowledge and contribution have been instrumental for the development of Aphrodite Egg Bank, an international egg bank that has supported individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood.
Sperm Processing and selection: He is fascinated by new methods for enhancing sperm selection and processing, aiming to improve fertilization, embryo quality and implantation rate
PGTA: He is also interested in new methodologies for genetic screening of the preimplantation embryos that play a vital role in improving success rates, especially for patients close to their 40s
Optimizing Lab conditions: A crucial aspect of successful ART is the lab environment. He is continuously exploring new ways to improve culture conditions and maintain the highest air quality standards for embryo development

Outside of the lab, he is a proud dad and husband. He enjoys collecting music the old school way – on vinyl-and staying active through sports like running and tennis.

Marilia Hadjipieri

Clinical Dietician / Sports Nutritionist

Marilia Hadjipieri was born and raised in Nicosia. She studied Sports Nutrition at Nottingham Trent University and continued with a Master’s in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Nottingham, where she graduated with distinction. She then completed her second Master’s in Clinical Dietetics at the University of Nicosia, accumulating over 1000 hours of clinical practice. During her practical training, she worked at various health centers, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, schools, dietetic offices, and clinics in Cyprus. Her dissertations focused on 'Systematic review of the effects of omega-3 supplements during pregnancy and breastfeeding on the development of infant allergies' and 'Hollywood Diet: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: A systematic review of very low-calorie diets in overweight individuals.'

In addition to her degrees, she holds two diplomas recognized by the British Nutrition Foundation, on the topics of 'Allergies – Reducing the risk in infancy' and 'Healthy eating at work.' She also practiced as a nutritionist at a private clinic in London, Bupa, where she had the opportunity to meet various distinguished individuals in the field.

Throughout these years, Marilia Hadjipieri has encountered more than 30 different diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, cancer, preoperative and postoperative nutrition, and various eating disorders. She has also dealt with cases related to women's nutrition, for example, in the areas of fertility, pregnancy, breastfeeding, endometriosis, PCOS and menopause.

Her continuous lectures and participation in numerous seminars and presentations related to nutrition and health reflect her passion for her work, and she is ready to help you achieve your own nutritional goals!
